FAQ

What do sports chiropractors do?

Sports chiropractors specialize in the care of musculoskeletal issues and help athletes recover faster, heal quicker and prevent sports injuries. Chiropractic care for athletes can increase their range of motion and flexibility; improve posture and balance; reduce the risk of injury; and help strengthen performance. They develop different therapies and exercises for each individual athlete.

Another difference is that sports chiropractors are trained to evaluate, manage and diagnose sports-related injuries and conditions. A sports chiropractor must receive at least 12 hours of continuing education a year to maintain their status. At Health & Rehab Chiropractic, Dr. Czekaj is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. He can tell the difference between a "pinched nerve" and scapular dyskinesis, or he tell you why your knee hurts when you squat and how to avoid the pain.
